I wanted to showcase a ton of overkill here. I used a community post on this date to showcase huge stats from materia fusion.
1) Hell Thundaga alone does poison, silence, stop or death (which cascades with status ward to protect from cheap bs). It is faster than dark blizzara by far and feels like sith lightning with all this craziness.
2) Aerial Drain is faster than power drain while having jump evasion. I already have a slow power move with exploder blade.
3) Quake gives me nearly Max HP with the 210% boost, which needed a mastered graviga (it got stale and bosses obviously have immunity to half HP, and it caps at 9999 like my HP).
4) Darkness costs a bit of HP but works in tandem with high amounts and healing (regen is terrible here).

Like FFT, I am glad I put up with this game’s faults as it let me research a ton:
1) Junon is repetitive with clones (he changes his hair here to tribute Angeal). You fight the same 2 guys 100 times.
2) The buster sword proficiency he inherits from Angeal is a joke to always press X & A to activate and hardly makes a difference let alone won’t go up more than a few hundredths of a percent (I’m not even at 0.5% despite using it a lot in side quests though not in this vid). People did make a guide and guide for hours to pierce barriers and even go past 9999 hp.

3) Materia Fusion is convoluted but allows a ton of customization despite many being as useless as FFT abilities (Osmoga anyone, or not fusing regular Barrier/MBarrier to get both with wall).
4) The guides can be tough to deal with as mastered materia opens up new arrangements, so it is hard to sort that all out.
5) Then of course all the independent stat materia is a massive waste as you don’t get new moves nor probabilities from FF7, I only saw stat boosts and added benefits like Mag which I can buff stats through materia. Maybe there’s an obscure good one.
6) The game can have terrible animations, even Tifa turning back was stiff. It got better being under 30, but no way I’d put up with it at 50.
7) The magic pots are weird sequence enemies to do all moves while you can’t change materia mid battle. You need a guide over a simple ff5 elixir: https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Magic_Pot_(Crisis_Core_enemy)?sosearch
